Volunteers are needed to attend city council meetings and meet with various elected officials and boards, to attend event tables, to do adminstrative work, and to conduct TNVR operations.

TNVR operations manpower includes setting and attending traps, holding cats in traps overnight before surgery, transporting cats to TCAP on the corner of Precinct Line and Harwood Rd. in Hurst, transporting cats from TCAP to recuperation home, recuperating cats in your home for 24-72 hours while they remain in traps, and transporting recuperated cats in traps back to release site. We have many other opportunities to help if you cannot trap (thorough training can be provided on all but technical projects):

    • Going out amongst attendants at community event and distributing M-CCC literature
    • Reaching out to the community to gather petition signatures

    • Serving on a committee to oversee government outreach
    • Attending/speaking at city government meetings

    • Reaching out to non-elected staff decision makers
  • Events/Fundraisers
    • Serving on committee to plan and implement events/fundraisers
    • Staffing a booth or table at an M-CCC event at a community event or retail store
  • Social Media/Email/Newsletters
    • Post relevant and engaging content to Facebook & Twitter
    • Maintain and monitor email newslist
    • Compose periodical newsletters to donors, supporters, and key city staff
    • Maintain mailing list for newsletters
    • Choose and maintain newsletter software
    • Website Content/Coding
      • Design and upload static content
      • Design, upload, and maintain dynamic content
        • Current open volunteer positions
        • Photos, videos
        • News from M-CCC
        • News in the TNVR world
  • Monitoring incoming phone messages
    • Handling calls (via website, text, email, or smartphone app or any combination thereof)
    • Determining need and urgency
    • Posting job on project manager web app
    • Disseminating information requested by caller
    • Distributing traps for those requesting trap rental
